June 6th Oasis Heaton Park
This was a surprise 21st birthday present. A rainy day, listening to great music wrapped up with wellies on; not sure that anything can match it. The atmosphere was phenomenal when Oasis came on; it's amazing how music unites so many people from so many different walks of life. A great experience. It has made me consider festivals in a different light all together.

June 10th The RCA Show Kensington
I really enjoyed the show. I hadn't seen any of the womenswear collections in development so it was interesting to see their final realisation. I particularly liked Kim-Choong Wilkins Menswear knit collection and the silhouette he developed. I found it quite inspiring.

David Richard Fraser produced a striking collection with a memorable silhouette; structural exaggerated shoulders. The use of colour was strong in this collection also.
Matthew Miller's Menswear collection, one of the collections that caught my eye in the studio delivered well on the catwalk. was slightly disappointd with the menswear models, they were walking so fast that I couln't capture some of the outfits. The skeleton shirt and bomb jackets were very tastefully done and eye catching; something to remember it by.
Vibe Lundmark achieved scale the most successfully from my view point. The balance of colours really helped the impact of the gigantic knits.
My favourite womenswear collection was Rachel Barratt's. Her use of alternative and new materials made her stand out from the crowd. It was a timeless collection.
I enjoyed watching Luis' collection on the runway. I recognised some of the lads modelling as he had asked them specifically. This was another collection that stood out far from the others; a show stopper. I think it was received with the amusement that Luis would have liked. This was an obvious favourite and made me think if how I might include colour and fun in my final collection.
Bronwen Marshall's collection finished the show. I thought this was quite fitting, it was a collection sending people away with something to ponder. The patterncutting in this collection is flawless and the range of garments within the 9 outfit collection is well balanced. The styling and use of colour complimented the gray tones. . A really nice, creative way to spend my 21st birthday.
